Hey!
So school started on Thursday (Sam had to go back Wednesday-HA HA!) and so far it seems like this will be a good year. AP English seems to be going well, my Math teacher seems to actually teach, and my Chem teacher is really cool! Plus I'm going to take the Latin regents so I can get my Advanced Regents Diploma, and that means I CAN DROP BA/BCA!!! (FYI: BA/BCA is a stupid business class I don't want to take, but had to in place of Spanish III to get my ADV. diploma) So I'm going to change my schedule so instead of having Government/Economics 1st period with Mr. Palmatier, I'll have it 7th period with (my favorite teacher) Mrs. Brennan! Plus I'll have a whole period of study hall EVERY MORNING!! Yay! ^_^ All of my Latin will be independent study, though, so I'm going to be staying after school a lot... I'm ok with that, because I really like Latin. It's the bitchenest (2nd) language ever!! The only thing that I don't like about my schedule is that 9th period English, because my class has a bunch of dicks in it, so Mr. Bennett (who I like) is going to be pissed off a lot.
And aside from my classes, the school has blocked literally ever website I used to go to, except for wikipedia. So I won't be able to update this unless I go to gramma's, or the library after school.. But I'm going to be busy this year anyways, so I'm not too concerned about the computer-nazis. I will not give them the satisfaction of knowing that they bothered me. (You hear me, bitches? I'm not affected at all!! *apathetic face*) On the plus side, I'll be able to go on Wiki and learn all about random anime! Ooh, and imdb isn't blocked, either. So new movie info, and random stuff is still available.
My Aunt Rachael was supposed to come home this weekend, so I made plans to come to my grammas. She said if Rachael wasn't going to come, she would call my dad, and tell him. That way I could stay home. So I get here, all excited, and she says "Oh, I don't know when Rachael's coming, but probably Monday." What the frak!?! Now maybe it's just me, but I thought the agreement was if Rachael wasn't coming, I could stay home. We have a home game going on RIGHT NOW that I could be at. Maybe Jack is playing! For all I know Jack is doing something frakking amazing right now, and I'm missing it for absolutely no reason! And then she asked for my mom's address (for those of you who don't know my gramma is my mom's foster mom, and my mom refuses to talk to or see her. Yet my gramma still sends cards and packages to my mom, all of which are burned/thrown away unopened) and got all pissy when I wouldn't tell her. I'm on mom's side of this. If she doesn't want to see Gramma, then she just needs to deal. But instead gramma just stalks my mom. Now normally "stalk" would be an exaggeration (I'm prone to them, you know) but as I was walking away I distinctly heard "I'll just drive by the house and get the address then." How frakking insane is that? My mom thinks it's funny. She always laughs when I tell her how gramma thinks one day they'll talk again. The best part is that she keeps wasting money on packages that are never opened, and completely unappreciated! The kids don't even see the cards she sends them on their bithdays... I love gramma, but I just don't understand her.
So now I'm not going to be able to see Rachael at all. I'm going to stay home next weekend, and hopefully find someone to hang out with on Jennifer Tilly's birthday. Gramma told me that Rachael will probably leave Saturday, so I could come out Friday afternoon and spend the weekend. Yea, like the whole 5 hours is worth it. I've got plans, and I can't just kill all of my time here. On Jennifer Tilly's birthday I will be doing something fun with...I don't know yet, but the point is I'm not going to come, see Rachael, and then have her leave the next day. It makes more sense not to see her at all, because then I'll just miss her. I won't have to say hi, and then turn around and get all upset when she leaves the next morning. I want to see her, but not for half a day. Maybe next year, I guess...
Aside from all of the current events, a couple things happened over the last part of the summer. I got the last two seasons of Xena that I needed (4&5) so now I own the entire show. Oddly enough, it took me exactly 3 months (to the day) to get all 6 seasons... I went to a Gin Blossoms concert at UB, too. That was pretty cool. And I had an anime day with my cousin Dillon. We watched Black Lagoon, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, Pani Poni Dash, and the Pretty Sammy OVA's, all of which were great! I also saw some Ergo Proxy. It was cool, but pretty slow...borderline boring, actually. The cool parts were really cool, and the characters seemed interesting, but it just dragged. My favorites were Black Lagoon, and Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni, which is really creepy! Black Lagoon is funny, and action-y, so my usual genre. This one woman (her name escapes me) is (as Dillon says) "a human Ryoko." Gotta love that!! There was a great quote "You've got to enjoy life, or you'll just end up wasting it." I like that. Possibly Sr. quote material, but I'd like to use something from Gabrielle....We'll see, I guess...
I think Sam blew me off (again) because I talked to her yesterday, and she wanted to come over, but had to talk to her mom. She wanted to meet Rachael, and of course I thought Rachael would be here. So I told her I'd call her today, and I called...at least 6 times (not all within 5 minutes of each other) and she didn't pick up. And she's not here. So I guess she found something else to do. It would be nice if she'd tell me, but...that's Sam. I guess there's always a chance she'll just show up, but I doubt it.
Ummm. Well that's everything I could think of to talk about right now, so I'll stop rambling. Comment if you read this!!
Oh yea!! Has anyone else heard of The Arcade Fire? Does anyone have any Arcade Fire albums?? I need some, but I have very little money, and I'm saving up for:
A) Dark Angel on dvd
B) Snakes On A Plane album
C) The Xena fan club kit thingy-bob, which is $66.45
So yea. If you have anything, let me know!! (I'll love you forever!)
